tunnels, angels, plans

Today T and I took our youngest daughters (callously abandoning their Y5 siblings to a hard day’s graft down t’pit at school) and walked along the Monsal trail, and around Litton Mill, through sunshine, showers and tunnels.

We found hidden statuary (Don’t Blink. Blink and you’re dead. Don’t turn your back. Don’t look away. And don’t Blink. Good Luck.)

We worked on the plan. The plan is important. It began as a germ of an idea back in April, and sustained us through some fairly dark days.  Now we’ve reached the logistics stage with maps and bus timetables (ha, rural public transport- third Wednesday of every month, if you’re lucky…)

Two women, five children, one summer… I wonder if we’ll get there?
