missing words

There are gaps in our language; things we cannot convey, because the words do not exist. We have no way to describe the duet of silver birch leaves and sky on a sunny October morning.


I’m thinking about fairisle again, but I need yarn in that elusive unnameable shade of sky. Time for my Jamieson and Smith colour charts, I think…


I’ve been quiet on this blog for some time. There are things going on in my life which are making me sad and angry, and cannot be written about on a public blog. And it’s been rainy and grey, and quite honestly, I can feel the darkness encroaching. Let’s talk about fairisle instead…
