sea of light

This morning’s making: 4 wooden frames from the toy shop in Belford, some white acrylic paint, PVA, glass of every shade from Seaham beach.

I love the lightness and colour in these quick pieces, and I cherish the history of how Seaham beach came to be covered in glass, and the memories of a gusty October afternoon spent searching with my children.

    Gorgeous images.
The first especially reminds me of a insanely beautiful instillation by an artist called Rachel Whiteread.
